Eddie Cochran (October 3rd 1938 - April 17th 1960)

Just another excuse for a p/u in the Wiltshire town of Chippenham!

Ok here's the deal! No bullshite section. There will be a proper long hash (6 miles long), medium hash (5 miles long) and walkers trail (3.5 miles long). There will be four beer stops all of which serve good Ale. The last beer stop has four fine ales! Each trail from the first beer stop to the last beer stop is the same trail and is 2.5 miles long. So if you want a good run before you start drinking then you can do a really good 2.5 mile hash or a 3.5 mile hash before the first beer stop. The hash will be 3 hours long and we will get back to the Bridge House at 5pm when the landlord will unlock the cosy room for us to get our bags back, drink more beer, have down downs and degenerate into a withering mess.

When?: Saturday 17th April 2010 at 2pm!

Where?: Wetherspoon's "The Bridge House" Pub, Borough Parade, High Street, Chippenham Town Centre (Three minute walk from the Train Station). Walk to the Avon river and follow your nose.

Cost?: £1 for Down Downs.

How to get there?: Train it from Bristol Temple Meads (departs 13:00 arrives 13:24), Bath Spa (departs 13:13 arrives 13:24), Swindon (departs 12:55 arrives 13:09) or Drive (park and pay for Chippenham's local ammenities (thanks in advance but they still won't reduce my council tax)) or Bus it if you wanna stay on a bus all day, or cycle it if you're green or walk it if you're egid.

Attire?: Wear a quiff/rockabilly attire. Ebay sells good Eddie Cochran t-shirts.

A tiny room has been reserved at the Wetherspoons pub for us to dump our bags and return too after the hash for a bevy. The hash will start from The Bridge House and will return to The Bridge House. Bring beer money on the hash!

Please note - This is plan A which caters for bags and train back home (for most people). Some Hashers have expressed an interest to stay at Knead's house that evening. The hash "run" won't be going to Corsham but will be in and around Chippenham. Maybe we'll visit Corsham after the Hash which is a 10 minute bus ride away for those staying at knead's house. I have not heard of any events of bands playing commemorating Eddie Cochran on that day (yet....).

No T-Shirts are planned (yet). Haven't you got enough?

The hash will beer stop at Eddie's memorial where Sweat Monster will dance to Eddie's music!
